Dottie Rambo left her songs as her legacy to mankind, and I have offered up my books as my legacy as well. I have offered them to the Lord for any purpose He may choose to use them.
- Alabama and Beyond, Creating a Lasting Legacy – This book was written between 2011 and 2015, an autobiography sharing multiple answers to prayers throughout multiple generations. It told of my own and of my husband and my three oldest children’s spiritual journeys and finding their life mates. It was published in April, just a few weeks before my debilitating brain hemorrhage in June of that year. There is a collection of multi-generational family photos. (Book is written deliberately with the Appalachian voice.)
- Detour was a sequel to Alabama and Beyond. It detailed what it was like to survive a ruptured subarachnoid brain aneurysm or bleeding stroke. It also shares how my fourth child (Joel) found his godly mate, Pratty. Photos reveal my shaved head and Joel and Pratty’s wedding photos. (Book is written with the voice of a disabled ICU survivor and disabled Mother-of-the-Groom.)
(3) Perspectives with a Twist is a compilation of blogs from 2014 through 2020. It includes 29 brief biographies of missionaries and other Christian heroes, 4 Bible studies, and 47 various topics of contemporary interest. Brief accounts of great missionaries such as John Paton, Brother Andrew, Sundar Singh, Eric Liddell Adoniram Judson (America’s first white missionary), and his contemporary Cary Lott (America’s first African American missionary) will stimulate your faith. Bible topics highlight the life, sufferings, victories, and teachings of Jeremiah; David’s associates such as priests, prophets, strong men, counselors, and wives; Levites as a group over the centuries; and lessons from Numbers. Numerous topics of contemporary interest, such as creationism vs evolution, marrying the right man, the teachings of R. A. Torrey, and other topics round out the book. (Book is written with the voice of someone saying, "Wow! Do you see God's fingerprints on that!")
